Hi, nice to meet you. I’m Francesco.
I’m an Assistant Professor, Researcher in Entrepreneurship at the University of Padova, Italy.
My research focuses on the key success factors for tech-based startups and the equity investors’ decision-making process.
In all my activities I consistently apply data-driven methods, analyzing comprehensive business datasets using data mining and machine learning.
Also, I look at artificial intelligence as a driver for innovative approaches in Entrepreneurship.
I’ve been in the startup-game since 2013, working in entrepreneurship on 3 complementary levels:
> Academic research: getting quantitative insights on startup companies, equity investors and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
> Education: Teaching “Business Administration and Organization” at the University of Padova, Italy. Also giving workshops on the topics of AI in Entrepreneurship.
> Co-founder of a startup studio: supporting new entrepreneurial projects and encouraging technology transfer.

As an entrepreneurship researcher, I mainly deal with tech-driven startups’ success factors and equity investors’ decision-making processes. From a methodological perspective, I apply a strongly data-driven approach, based on the analysis of large business-related datasets through advanced data mining and machine learning techniques. Starting with a common topic or methodology let’s explore how to work together on our next article.

Teaching is reciprocal learning. A journey to explore and innovate, boosting both individual and team potential. At the University of Padova, I teach a Graduate Degree course in “Business Administration and Organization“. In addition, I design and conduct workshops on both entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence. Whether you are in Italy or abroad, we can explore innovative and engaging educational opportunities.
